In the US obesity and overweight are becoming an evermore serious problem. More and more people don’t eat healthy and don’t do any exercises at all. Luckily there are some of them who want to change the way they eat and do exercises to lose wait. However, it might sometimes be hard to come up with a workout plan on how to gain muscle and lose fat.

Losing fat and gain muscles stands for a healthier life. To achieve this you have not only change the way you eat, but also the way you life. There are three things you should do when you want to achieve this goal.

1) Eat healthier: stop unhealthy food and eat more vegetables and fruits

2) Do aerobic exercises, Running or Swimming are excellent sports to loose more weight.

3) Do exercises to gain muscles

Unhealthy eating patterns are more common than uncommon in the US. Unhealthy food does not only make you fat, it also brings serious health issues with it. Cancer, heart attacks and strokes are only 3 diseases more common in people with obesity. If you want to eat healthier the best thing to do is asking advice at a nutritionist or a doctor. He will help you lowering your calorie intake and start eating more vitamins. Changing your eating pattern is the most prominent aspect in gain muscle and lose fat.

Another important aspect is doing aerobic exercises or cardio fitness. You do not only need to lower you calory intake, you will also need to burn the calories and fat you already have stored in your body. A very good way in achieving this is with spinning, swimming or running. The best way in doing this is with a personal trainer to build up a tight schedule an avoid injuries.

However, cardio fitness/aerobics is not the only way hot to gain muscle and lose fat. It is especially aimed at losing more fat and build up some muscles in the abdomen area. If you want to build up muscles in specific areas like the arms or legs, than you will also need to do exercises aside to it. You can do this by going to the gym and work with dumbbells or machines, but you could also buy some dumbbells and do the exercises yourself at home.

Although quite basic, these 3 ways are the basis of any weight loss and muscle gain program. If you are a beginner you could start slow and build it up slowly. If you are more experienced you could ask you personal trainer for a more advanced program.
