3. If there are certain people you spend a lot of time smoking with, it’s probably better for you if you avoid them. This, of course, sounds very harsh but if you are serious about quitting then it’s something you’re going to have to do. Alternatively, you could try and encourage them to give up too. They might be really pleased at the suggestion and you can therefore work together.
4. Finding things to occupy yourself is also great. Many times, you will reach for a packet of cigarettes purely out of boredom. If you can find something else to occupy your time with, you might be less inclined to smoke. You could start doing crossword puzzles, jigsaws or arts and crafts.
