A Simple Salt Water Flush Recipe

The body can be cleansed at home by using a simple salt water flush recipe. This is like giving the inside of your body a bath and ridding it of toxins and waste that can build up over time.

Drink the mixture first thing in the morning before eating anything. It is important that it be done on an empty stomach. The recipe is simple: 2 teaspoons sea salt or mineral salt mixed into 1 quart of warm water. Drink it as quickly as possible. Drinking it slowly just makes it worse. This works like an enema, so be sure you can be near a bathroom for the next several hours.

After drinking the saltwater, lay for 30 minutes on your right side. This is to help gravity pull the liquid to the small intestines, which are on the lower right side of the stomach. You will feel and hear your stomach contracting after about an hour. At this time, you can help the process along by massaging your left side of your lower stomach where the large intestines. This is where elimination occurs. Try not to pass gas unless you are on the toilet because liquid will most likely be passed with the gas.

The flush works on the colon by loosening fecal material that has been building in the system. When the colon is cleansed, it works more efficiently to absorb nutrients and to build the immune system. The saltwater will go through the entire body in a few hours. Salt is perfect for the cleanse because it has been used historically to draw poisons out of the body. Expect to have several bowel movements during this time.

One side effect of using the flush could be dehydration. Make sure you drink enough water before and after cleansing to eliminate this problem. Because the body cannot distinguish between good and bad bacteria while cleansing, you should also eat yogurt to help replace the good bacteria.

This homemade sea salt cleanse is safe for most people and can be used when you feel you need to cleanse your system. This is an easy and effective way to keep your insides clean and healthy.
