Advantages of a Pedometer Watch

Do you want to keep track of the steps you make while walking or working out? How about using a pedometer watch that tracks not only the number of steps you make but also other data such as distance you cover and calories you burn? You can custom set the start time and end time to keep track of various measurement while you work out, walk, or jog.

Are you aware of the advantages pedometer watches can bring in? Pedometers can be bought as single step counting or as multi functional. Accelerometer is responsible for counting the steps, calories, distance and speed. Single step counting pedometers are designed with single engine that counts steps and / or distance. Multi functional pedometer watches come with multiple functional engines such as spring-levered, piezoelectric, hair spring mechanism and coil-mechanism.

Most times, pedometer watches are designed to calculate the distance by computing the number of steps and its length. There is a chance that the count varies depending on the speed, how slow or fast you make your steps. In some pedometer watches, you can set the sensitivity to ignore junk steps. These watches are available in several designs and colors. If you are a woman and love pink, you can pick the one in pink while enjoying women’s workout time with your friends.

You may at times see pedometer watch to turn off automatically during inactivity. If necessary, you can set the turn off time by delaying it up to 30 minutes once you are done with your activity. The memory feature in these watches give you access to the old data that was recorded earlier. These watches come with a memory capacity of 7 days to 10 weeks, you can choose one as your budget allows.

If you want to record your steps during a specific activity or work out, you must remember to switch it on while beginning that activity. If you forget to do that, the data you are about to get may not be accurate. You also need to check if your pedometer watch counting your steps is depending on how you move your arms. If you fail to do so, you may end up having a wrong data.
