What is the best Allergic Asthma Treatment?

Although we can control asthma with anti inflammation medication like corticosteroids, we are not able to find a cure for it. Allergic asthma treatment gives some control over the attacks and make them less frequent and severe. There is some distinction in types of medication. There is medication to keep control over the attacks and medication that quicky gives some relief when an attack is present.

When you are diagnosed with asthma you will probably start with medication that keeps control over the asthma attacks. This begins with an inhaler containing corticosteroids, an anti-inflammatory drug. This drug desensitize the upper airways and in this way makes it less sensible for a possible trigger for an attack.  They will reduce airway swelling and also reduce a the production of mucus in the lungs. You can find these inhalers on the market as: Flovent, Vanceril, Azmacort, Beclovent and Pulmicort. Besides, it will also reduce your wheezing and coughing.

There are also other inhalers on the market for allergic asthma treatment. These inhalers do not contain corticosteroids but sodium based drugs that will prevent the airways to swell. This will also reduce the sensitization of the airways for a possible allergen trigger.

These drugs prescribed are both drugs that help you keep control over your attacks. It is not always possible to prevent an attack and that is the reason why you will also need medication that gives quick relief when you are having an attack. These are called bronhodilators and will help open the airway when you are having an asthma attack. You can find these products on the market named as: Bronkosol, Brethaire, Maxair, Albuterol, Alupent and more.

Medical treatment for asthma is the only way how you can get control over your attacks. There is no cure for asthma and taking medication everyday will become a part of your life. With the help of your doctor you will probably try some different types of inhalers before you will find one that works best for you.

Although you can not prevent attacks, there are some ways how you can avoid it and reduce the chance of your asthma being triggered by allergens. Possibly the best thing you could do is exercising your lungs so they become stronger and healthier. It is no secret that many children participate in swimming events because it is a good work out for your lungs. However, any other sport that will train your lungs will also have a positive effect. Also try to avoid places where it is really dirty, wash your hand more often and clean your bed sheets every week.

There is no way to avoid attacks completely, but allergic asthma treatment will help you to reduce the chance on an attack. Next to that there are some things you can do to reduce the chance on a new attack even further.
