Creating Your Own Spa Treament Room On A Budget

In todays financial climate, taking a spa or any salon skin treatment can be expensive and out of reach. However, there is a way to indulge yourself without having to buy expensive exfoliates and oils in just around three minutes a day. You can enjoy your very own fast, cheap and easy spa-like pampering session.

If you are concerned about drying out your skin then there is no need to be. With this method, you will leave the bathroom glowing, feeling great and with moisturized skin. All it takes is a few minutes added to your normal routine.

Start by tightly closing your bathroom door or if you have a walk in shower enclosure, the shower door, and seal the base by putting a lightly rolled up towel against it. This will allow little steam to escape from the bathroom allowing you to benefit from the most beneficial aspect of the shower, which is the cleansing humidity and heat. When you steam the body, and especially the face, the closed, dirty pores relax and open up which allows all the microscopic debris and toxins to be released. This allows you to have a deep cleaning shower that will leave your skin glowing.

Whilst taking a shower, slowly turn up the heat, but do not go too hot that it is uncomfortable. Different people have different heat tolerances. If you have a low heat tolerance you may find that not enough steam builds up. In that case. let the shower run at a high temperature for a minute to get the steam produced and then turn it down before stepping in it.

When in the shower use and exfoliating nylon puff or a loofah sponge and with apply a moisturizing body wash to the skin. Make sure you scrub your body in a firm circular motion. This allows the the body wash to moisturize more efficiently and for the sponge or puff to exfoliate in the shortest amount of time. Moving the sponge in a circular motion also has the added benefit of increasing the circulation in the skin which will improve the radiance after taking the shower.

After showering dry the skin by patting with a nice soft towel, not rubbing or wiping away the water. Patting will allow the skin to retain more of the moisture. Afterwards, cover your body in plenty of your favorite moisturizer massaging, again, in a circular motion. Allow excess cream just to lie on top of the skin. Standing for one to two minutes, naked, in the bathroom will allow the skin to benefit more from the circulating steam in the bathroom and for the top layer of the skin to absorb more of the excess moisturizer.

If you have a tendency to suffer with dry skin, it may be worthwhile whilst standing in the steam to apply a second layer of moisturizer cream over the entire body. Again, wait a short spell, to allow absorption, before dressing.

When you walk out of the bathroom you will feel rejuvenated, pampered and fully moisturized. This will save you a lot of money from using a spa and everything you need is right at home.
