What is the Best Facial Acne Scar Treatment?

Leave a Comment

It differs from person to person what is the best facial acne scar treatment. There are different types of Acne and each has its own treatment. Aside to that, every person is different and the skin will act different on certain treatments.

The first step in order to decide what is the best possible treatment for Acne is to diagnose what type of Acne you have. A bacterial infection is often the case of Acne. Acne is divided in to 4 different types that are typically found on the body and especially on the face, shoulders and back. The four types of Acne are:

* Nodulocystic Acne

* Gram-Negative Folliculitus

* Acne Atrophica

* Acne Conglobata

When you do nothing against them, you have the risk of eventually getting scars. Therefore it is important to decide what type it is and select appropriate treatment.

Nodulocystic Acne

The treatment for the removal of nodulocystic Acne are a bit more uncommon than the other types of treatment. When you have this type of Acne, you have cyst like nodules on your skin that are called blemishes (pimples). When these nodules dissipate, they will leave large concaved depressions on the areas that are affected. If you try to remove this scar tissue with common treatment methods, you have the risk of even deeper divots at the surface of your skin. Autologous Fat Transfer is the best treatment option for this type of Acne. This technique basically injects fat that is removed from another part of your body into the affected pitted areas. This will elevate the areas where the depressions occur. Although it is a quite unusual treatment, it will successfully treat the pitted areas and create a much healthier appearance.

Gram Negative Folliculitis

Another type of Acne that occurs frequently is gram negative folliculitis. This is mainly treated by prescription of the proper antibiotics. Follicles are hair sacs and when they are infected by a bacteria they might create blemishes. These blemished could eventually lead to acne scarring if no treatment is performed. Infection of the hair follicles is also called Quinquad’s disease. Removal of the scarring is dependent on different factors. The effect of treatment differs from person to person.

Acne Atrophica

Acne Atrophica is a certain skin disorder that creates small pits and scars on the skin. It is caused by another sort type of Acne calles Acne Vulgaris (chrionic Acne). One form of treatment for this type is with the help of laser. The laser is a high temperature light beam that affect the dead skin in the scar tissue. By killing the scar tissue, the skin will be able to recover again.

Acne Congoblata is probably the worst type of Acne. It causes abscesses and blackheads on face, arms and neck that could erupt. The best facial acne treatment could be laser treatment or the use of collagen injections.

Every treatment will be dependent on your type of skin and what type of Acne you have. It is not a simple matter of choosing the best facial acne treatment for every type of Acne.  Acne is often a chronic disease and is very hard to treat.
