Although facial hair removal for women is not solely aimed at females who are predisposed with hair grow, there are also other reasons that might cause the hair to grow in the facial area. During pregnancy and the menopause, the hormones are frequently imbalanced with females. This might result in excessive hair grow on certain places, including the face. Tumors and some diseases also might cause sudden hair grow.

Luckily there are some ways to remove facial hair that have proven to work quite effectively. A very easy way to remove facial hair is shaving with razors or another shaving device. This is an effective short term solution, but when you are also concerned about the long term effect, this method is not recommended. Every time you shave a hair, it will grow back and it will also grow thicker. Once you started shaving, you have to do it frequently to maintain some effect.

Waxing is another method of facial hair removal for women. This works for every part of the body so it also works for the face. The advantage of this method is that it is cheap and effective. The horrible sounds escaping your mouth make it a rather painful and uncomfortable treatment

Electrolysis is probably the most effective way of removing unwanted facial hairs. A small electrode is used to destroy the root of the hair. Although effective, the sensation is not very comfortable and the methods alse tends to be expensive. Most of the times more than one session is needed and one session costs $75 for 30 minutes. The advantage is that the hairs are destroyed permanently and will not grow back.

When money is no issue, laser hair removal also might be a good idea. This method is not cheap as it costs you at least $1500 but might even cost you a lot more. although effective and not as painful as electrolysis, this is not something to sneeze at.

Some less popular ways of facial hair removal for women are removal creams and hormone therapy. Both ways have some complications and creams should never be used when you are pregnant.

So what method fits you best? Shaving and waxing are low tech solutions that are effective on the short term. Electrolysis and laser hair removal have proven to be more effective on the long term but they costs a lot of money compared to the other solutions. It is a matter of how much time, money and effort you want to put in to it that will decide what is your best option.
