Laser tattoo removal has been the leading method on how to get rid of unwanted tattoo nowadays. But how is laser removal method really done?

The word laser might intimidate you but laser tattoo removal in the application of a safe, low frequency laser. It is quite similar to the blue colored laser your dentist uses to whiten your pearly whites. A low pulse laser is applied onto the tattoo design until the mark disappears. It usually takes several treatments for a tattoo to completely disappear. There are factors to consider however, on how long you need to get laser treatment, the age of the tattoo, the size and the ink used to color the design. The older the tattoo, the harder for it to erase, the larger the tattoo of course will make it harder to take off and the brighter the color of the design the more ink is used on the tattoo thus taking it longer to take treatment.

Laser removal method is chosen above all because of its effectivity and safety. It is highly effective to erase tattoo marks plus it is safe to use since it is painless and bloodless. A local anesthetic is used to counter the mild pain you experience during the treatment. There are no incisions or needles so it decreases the possibility of skin infection making the method perfectly safe. Special care must be observed after the treatment. Sun exposure is a no-no so you have to wear sunscreen to protect the site. Doctors prescribe topical antibiotics to facilitate skin recovery. An elastic bandage is sometime applied on the site to lessen movement of the area.

A laser tattoo removal is considered a cosmetic procedure and it is not covered by any medical insurance plans. The price may cost from several hundred dollars or more depending on the factors stated on laser tattoo removal.

So before you get a tattoo, remember that it is cheaper to get one than to erase one so make up your mind. Or you might regret your decision in the first place.
