Hair Replacement Surgery Facts

Hair loss has been an extremely common problem faced by many. And numerous treatments have been developed to tackle this issue, however the treatment that is extremely popular and tends to have the highest success rate is the hair replacement by transplantation.

However often people have extremely high expectations which left them unsatisfied with the results. It is essential to understand that this type of treatment might not work best for everyone and it has its risks and uncertainties as well.

Uncertainty and Risk

This hair replacement surgery is usually considered to be a safe procedure as it is performed by highly qualified and certified doctors, however it is important to remember that the outcome cannot be predicted, as each individuals physical reaction is different from the other, and hence the healing pace and abilities differ.

Also, there is a slight chance of infection occurring, like any other surgery. You might get scars due to tension, or you might also suffer from some bleeding. Also, surgery might need to be repeated at times. Though hair in the skin plug inserted falls off before the new hair comes, there might be occasions where the skin plug dies before the re growth itself, hence requiring another surgery. Additional surgery may also be required, if ‘patches’ of baldness appears next to the plugged region. There might also be instances where small bumps maybe formed at the transplanted region.

Hence in essence, you should be aware of the various things that can occur as a result of this surgery. It doesn’t mean that these situations will arise, but you should be prepared for the worst. To reduce the risk of such occurrences, it is best to find a doctor who is not only qualified, but also experienced and has a record of successful hair transplants in the past.
