Hair thinning or hair loss is a very common problem experienced not only by men, but as well as by women. Hair is actually a very important part of our body. It does not only act as an asset to our overall look and accentuate our features, but it also serves as a protection to our scalp and skin from dust as well as from the intense heat of the sun. This is the reason why seeing our hair fall out as time pass by can be very frustrating on our part. This unfortunate chair condition or situation can actually be caused by many factors. Some are linked to heredity while others can be a result of poor hair treatment and exposure to harmful chemicals. Nevertheless, there are still some ways that we can do in order to make hair healthier and thicker. This article will tell us how to get thicker hair naturally.

Coconut Oil

Getting thicker and healthier hair naturally is actually possible. Aside from being effective, these simple steps can also save us a lot of money and effort as well. One of the natural ways in giving ourselves thicker hair is through the simple massage. Massaging our scalp and head regularly can help boost the thickness of our hair. This can be done with the use of coconut oil. All we have to do is to warm the oil before massaging it directly into the scalp. If there is no coconut oil, then we can substitute it with other oils like jojoba, olive or virgin oil. Once the oil is thoroughly applied on the hair, we can now wrap it with warm towel. Doing this at least once a week can actually help hair become healthier just like what we want to.

Healthy Diet

Another natural way in making hair thicker is through eating a healthy diet. Good food can always give good results. The more we eat foods that contain vitamins and nutrients, the better will our body react and that includes our hair. Foods like nuts, fruits and vegetables are considered high in minerals, which can be very helpful in providing a thick and healthy hair. In addition to this, drinking plenty of water can also be helpful in keeping the hair nourished and bouncy.

Care for your Hair

Proper hair washing care is also an important aspect in keeping our hair thick and naturally healthy. Many of us thick that regular and constant washing or shampooing hair can cause great benefits. This is actually true; however, too much washing can already cause dryness and damage to hair. This is due to the fact that natural and healthy hair oils are already being stripped down by our shampoos. This takes away the natural and healthy components of the hair causing problems in hair growth. Washing oily hair everyday is a good thing, but going more than that rate of washing can already be harmful. Aside from this, using lukewarm water in washing can also be helpful. Nevertheless, using extremely hot water can already damage the hair. After washing, it is also better if we try to air dry it instead of wrapping and drying it with towel. Combing or brushing wet hair is also a no-no. In choosing for the best shampoo and conditioners, it is important for us to select the one which is suited for our hair type. If we have dry and brittle hair, then we must opt for shampoos and conditioners that are designed to treat this problem. This way, our hair will be receiving the right ingredients in treating hair problem.

Aside from these essential steps mentioned above, we must also try to avoid doing a lot of hair treatments such as coloring or dyeing, ironing, curling and a lot more. Doing these procedures regularly can cause split ends, dryness, brittleness and many other damages in our hair. These are just some of the important things that we can do in order to provide our hair a naturally thick and healthy hair.
