How to grow your very own chia seed

The chia seed or also called as salvia hispanica that was first originated from North America, specifically on the Western area. Many studies say that these seeds were utilized many years ago specifically in this region and they have been helpful tools to everything beginning from food to medicinal products all the way to landscaping. Even before all of that happened, the chia seed became popular as a novelty item to little kids or known as Chia pets.

Many people only knew about the organic chia seed because of the chia pets. The chia pets were popularly known to have a kit that consists of a sculpture which is usually an animal or a head and the seeds. The seeds are being incorporated in water and scatters around the sculpture. As time goes by, they grow quickly to become as hair for their pets.

Chia seeds can be very sturdy, but this fact shouldn’t surprise many buyers and users because they prosper in low-moisture places specifically in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. The only danger that is attached to these plants is over-watering, so this is the very reason why it is vital for any chia shrub to be planted far away from thirsty plants or lawns.

The bad thing that will happen to the seeds when they get is that they can be very hard to handle, that is why they should always be kept dry and carefully stored in some areas. In growing or planting black or white chia seeds, just spread them over the soil and then raking them gently. When you start on planting the seeds on a flat surface, it best to put them where the light is always striking and to porous soil. They are best planted where the sun strikes it rays.
