How to Remove Blackheads

You can remove blackheads before they cause your pores to enlarge. What are blackheads and why do they cause pores to enlarge?  Dermatologists explain that blackheads are dirt that has been trapped in a pore, they are caused by oil build up or dust which has bacteria and if left untreated becomes deep seated and forms a cystic growth and makes it more difficult to remove. You should not try to get rid of blackheads in ways that can damage the different layers of your skin. You should always consult a certified dermatologist if available.

Your body has oil ducts that lie in the base of the sebaceous glands. It is when these glands get blocked from the use of oily cosmetics and dirt and pollution in the atmosphere that you get blackheads. Trying to remove these blackheads by using a pin or needle, tweezers or by squeezing them will only result in damaging the skin and possibly making the condition even worse, besides which it is un-hygienic and can spread the problem to other areas of the face.

Dermatologists are professionals and can do this properly with no pain, their rates are reasonable and you can usually find a good one locally. If this is not an option for you there are various remedies that can work for you.  There are strips that you can apply to the skin to get rid of the blackheads.  You can also use a warm towel to soften the area and that can loosen the blackheads considerably.

You can also use a good apricot cleanser on your face several times a week. This will help you lessen the appearance of blackheads. Over time, you will have fewer and fewer blackheads as long as you keep your face clean.  You should wash and moisturize your face 2 times a day.
