Consult your doctor
This is the first thing anyone should do before starting on any kind of physical activity. Your doctor will know whether your body can take jogging and other alternates if the sport isn’t for you.
Obtain the right jogging attire
Assuming your doctor says it’s ok to try jogging, make sure you have the right outfit. This should be something comfortable. Imagine how you would like to feel after a couple of miles and remember you would be far away from home so changing attire wouldn’t be an option. The most important part of your attire is your jogging shoes. Find a pair that has ample padding so that you won’t put much pressure on your joints.
Do warm-ups and cool-downs
This is something even pro athletes aren’t exempted to. Start off by taking a stroll. After that, do a few minutes of stretching. Once your muscles are warm, start slow jogging and gradually increase your speed.
Follow the same routine for cooling down. Reduce your jog from into a stroll, and then do some breathing exercises. Cooling down is important since it lets your body know that it can stop its workout and return to its normal rate of heartbeat and breathing.
These are just a few tips in getting started on your workout jogging. Once you get a hang of the basics, you can increase your speed and distance for a more challenging workout.
