Changing the Appearance of your nose is not an decision easily made. When you are choosing for nose plastic surgery, you are deciding to drastically change how your nose looks like. Surgery on the nose is commonly referred to as Rhinoplasty. There are different reasons why you should choose for a nose job. The most common reasons are cosmetic, but you could also choose for this procedure when your nose is severely broken or damaged by diseases like cancer. Before you are considering a nose job it is important to get some information about the subject. This article will give basic information on the procedure and costs of nose plastic surgery.

Vanity is not the only reason for considering a rhinoplasty. Very often surgeons consider surgery after traumatic injury. The nose is a very fragile organ and easily damages. Nasal displacement of the bones might cause breathing problems. A rhinoplasty might be necessary to correct the displacements and let the nasal passage function again. With traumatic injury there is also a chance of injruy on the blood vessels in the nose. it is very important to repair this damage as it might cause breathing problems and sometimes severe snoring.

Another reason for plastic surgery on the nose is with skin cancer. This type of cancer might damage the nose and make the structure unstable. If this is the case than a correction is needed. Malformations of the nose are also a reason for nose plastic surgery. When patients are born with malformations in the nose that cause breathing problems, resolving the problem might be necessary.

Procedure of Rhinoplasty

Basically there are two ways a nose job is performed. The surgeon chooses one of the procedures depending on the location and sophistication that is required for the operation. Internal plastic surgery is the first option. The surgeon will make an incision at the inside of the nose. He will not do any damage to the external side of the nose and only works from the inside.

The surgeon could also decide to do an external nose plastic surgery when the surgery is more extended. In this case he will make an incision at the crease of the nose. This is the place where your nose joins your face. Because of this there will not be a noticeable tissue on your face.

Costs of Rhinoplasty

The costs of nose plastic surgery varies because of certain factors. The most important factor is how experienced a surgeon is. If he has a lot of experience than there is a big chance the price will go up. Other important factors are reputation, schedule and location.
