Do you wonder if it’s possible to see signs of pregnancy even during the first few weeks of pregnancy? The answer for many women is yes. Although every women experiences pregnancy somewhat different from everyone else, there are several common signs that many women can and do experience, even during the first weeks of pregnancy.
The biggest first month pregnancy signs a woman may experience are those that are similar to a menstrual period. This can be confusing, because a woman may not be sure if her symptoms are from her monthly period or are coming because she is pregnant. Here are some of those symptoms.
Cramps is one of the first things you may experience while pregnant. Because of the pregnancy hormones coursing through your body and the fact that big changes are happening within your uterus, you can feel cramping in that area.
Light bleeding (known as spotting) can also happen in the early stages of pregnancy. The bleeding occurs at implantation, when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus. This bleeding can sometimes get mistaken for menstrual bleeding.
Mood swings and breast soreness are two other early pregnancy signs that can also occur during menstruation. Again, the pregnancy hormones can cause many changes in the woman’s body and emotions. Change in mood is pretty normal and expected at this stage. A woman may feel extreme emotions such as happiness, and she may also feel irritable or sad.
The reality is that many women may experience signs of pregnancy during the first month of pregnancy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s pregnant. Because a menstrual period can produce many of the same symptoms, it’s usually difficult to tell which it is until after the pregnancy has been confirmed by a home pregnancy test or by a medical professional. You can watch for the signs, but it’s hard to know for sure until you get outside confirmation.
