Acid reflux may not be a serious problem but if it is recurring, it is best to seek medical attention form a doctor. When natural treatments fail, it is a serious problem although this is very unlikely. There are a number of herbal remedies for acid influx including the most common chamomile, slippery elm, meadowsweet, fennel, cancer bush, gentian root, angelica root, catnip, ginger root and Aloe Vera. Before it gets to this point, it is important to prevent this condition by identifying what causes it.

Acid reflux is as a result of acid in the stomach climbing out the esophagus from the stomach. The condition is characterized by a painful gush of fluid upwards from the stomach, uncomfortable feeling, heartburn and soaring of the throat.
