Say No to Diets

Attempting to lose weight by means of crash diets or fad diets can be extremely counterproductive and unhealthy. Severely limiting calories or unrealistic restrictions are not permanent changes that you can make to your lifestyle. In the short term, you may drop some weight. But, over time when you resume those same bad eating habits you had prior to the diet, the weight will creep back – maybe even more than before.

By consuming highly processed foods, you are not giving yourself a fair chance at health or weight loss. It can be difficult to side-step the SAD (standard American diet). Processed foods are everywhere. Fast foods are prevalent in our society. However, regular consumption of these foods will make it difficult to take weight off and will actually encourage weight gain.

Serious health issues have been associated with the long term consumption of highly processed junk foods. In order to attain your goal of permanent weight loss and to improve your health, you need to incorporate lifestyle changes. By replacing processed junk foods with whole foods, you will be on your way to vital health and ideal weight.

Consuming organic leafy greens and colorful fruits and vegetables will supply you with the nutrition you need. They are also easy to digest, encouraging your body to shed unwanted pounds.

To stick to a permanent lifestyle change, make small changes to attain your goals. When you eliminate a bad food, replace it with one that is good for you. Make these changes over time. Don’t rush the process or you may fall off the wagon. Making small eliminations at a pace you can live with will lead to major success over the long term.

You can never lose when eating for good health. Yo-yo-ing on quick weight loss diets is detrimental to your health and will not help you attain your long term goal of permanent weight loss. Avoid crash diets! Proper nutrition and regular physical exercise will keep you healthy and lean.
