Simple Home Remedies for Acne

Acne is a common skin problem throughout the world. It is prevalent among all cultures and regions. It can occur during teenage years and even continuing after that.

Acne is one of the main sources of depression and withdrawal among teenagers. But the good news is that there are several home remedies for acne.

These are much safer than many over the counter medicines and also don’t burn a hole in your pocket. Drugstore medicines are often expensive and contain a lot of chemicals.

Before using the acne home remedies you must also realize that a good diet is responsible for keeping acne at bay. Drink lost of water and include lots of fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet. Avoid sugary and fatty foods as these can cause a break out. Stress is another important factor; don’t stress yourself unnecessarily and keep smiling.

Let us discuss the acne remedies that you can try on your own at home. The most common remedy is lemon juice.Take some lemon juice and apply it evenly on the face. Lemon can do wonders for your acne proned skin.

Another lesser known ingredient for acne remedies is Garlic. Apply crushed garlic several times and you can notice a considerable difference in a short period of time.

Mix cinnamon with honey and spread it on the face for 20 minutes. Gently give a circular massage. Honey will reduce the tinging effect of cinnamon. Then wash it off and apply rose water. This is an effective remedy for acne and also acne scars. Take raw papaya juice and apply as a mask. This is a good cure for pimples.

Mix a little salt with vinegar and spread it on the skin before rinsing off with water. Take enough salt so that it forms a paste and does not get dissolved in the vinegar.

Apply fresh mint juice  over the problem area overnight for a few weeks. This can also be used to treat other skin problems.

Dry orange peel in the sun and make a fine paste with yogurt. Use it on the face and after 30 minutes wash it off with lukewarm water. This is one of the most effective acne home remedies.
