Skin Bleaching Creams and Skin Fade Creams

Our modern day society has placed a tremendous amount of weight on physical appearance. Influences from music, television and the celebrity culture have ingrained a very skewed sense of what true beauty is in the public mind. As a result, the skin care industry has been able to enjoy unprecedented profits year after year from people investing in acne products, various wrinkle creams, skin bleaching cream so on and so forth. Despite what most people think, most of these products do anything but promote our skin’s health. They are packed with a number of chemicals that can cause our pores to clog, triggering cane. Some even contain toxic ingredients like mercury or parabens – all in the name of beauty. Skin bleaching creams are one beauty product that have been constantly embroiled in controversy, due in part to their use of certain active ingredients. Although there is no evidence to suggest that they somehow improve your skin’s health, one needs to be extremely careful when using these products to ensure they don’t have the opposite effect. Although all users of these products should take similar precautions, those with sensitive skin need to be especially careful.

The mechanism behind most skin lightening products relies on the gradual peeling of the outer layers of the skin to help fade marks and whatnot that are presently on its surface. This peeling effect leaves the skin susceptible to severe dryness as well as to sun damage. The first order of business to take care of is the dry skin, as it can create some uncomfortable sensation and lead to the premature development of wrinkles. To combat this, use a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Moisturizers replenish the moisture on your skin by acting as barrier between you and the outside world. Any moisture that you encounter leads to the depletion on the skin, interfering with its elasticity. Moisturizer helps protect against this.

In respect to sun protection, always wear sunscreen with a reasonable SPF rating. Skin fade creams can leave you susceptible to sunburn, and while unpleasant on its own, it can aggravate pre-existing conditions like acne.

Always remember to cleanse your skin at the end of the day so that what remains of the skin bleaching cream isn’t allowed to stagnate on your skin during the night. This may further exasperate dryness and sensitivity to the sun. If possible, double check with a dermatologist before embarking on any sort of skin lightening treatment to ensure there aren’t any unforeseeable hurdles which you may encounter.
