The Dangers of Low Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is considered as the pressure the blood exerts in the artery walls. It depends in our constant heartbeats and how much force is put on them.  One special thing about blood pressure is that in can be affected by almost anything. Eating certain types of food or your fitness habits may alter it. The 2 most noticeable diseases in our blood pressure are high blood pressure (Hypertension) and low blood pressure (Hypotension).

Hypertension may be the more notorious of these two conditions, but hypotension can also affect almost anybody. Low blood pressure tends to appear in short periods of time and has notable symptoms such as feeling confused, dizziness, losing balance, changing our breath patterns, fainting, etc. If your blood pressure drops very quickly, it’s recommended to see a doctor immediately since it can bring negative effects on your health.

The blood is as important as the heart in our bodies; it transports oxygen and other nutrients that keep us healthy. Blood can be regulated by fluids and if we lose them via diarrhea or by sweating too much, we may suffer a drop of blood pressure. But this problem isn’t so severe, since we only need to drink a lot of water by the day to keep our body and pressure regulated.

We need to know about the types of low blood pressure; the worst case scenario in Hypotension is the sudden drop of blood pressure. This can be caused by a loss of blood or by a strong allergic reaction. This has the most noticeable symptoms such as dizziness or fainting. It’s strongly recommended that if you suffer this symptoms you should go seek for help immediately because if this condition is not treated you may have negative consequences or even death.

If you suffer from any of these symptoms, you should go to a doctor to have a blood pressure reading and have it regulated. Always tell your doctor other conditions you are going through and medications you are taking since they also can affect your blood pressure.
