Life is all about moderation. In reality, you could technically do nearly anything you wanted, as long as you could moderate it. The danger of many things in life is that they are so good, a lot of people do not have the willpower to implement moderation. If you can train yourself to control everything that you deal with, then you will become a much better person for it. Of course, it is impossible to engage in this kind of lifestyle 100% of the time, but you are more than able to moderate things to an extent that you can reach your goals. In the case of weight loss, you have to be aware of how much you eat of certain foods.
If everybody could completely moderate what they ate, there would be no need for weight loss programs at all. They are all there to guide you in your eating habits, so the moderation is built right in. For example, there is one program that allots you points, and you can spend the points however you wish, and as long as you do not go over, you will lose weight. This is a perfect example of how a weight loss program utilizes moderation as the key to their system, although they do not describe it as such. People seem to run away in droves when this topic is brought up, so moderation must be veiled by other things in order to cover up what is really helping you.
You do not need to spend a lot of money to join a program to understand that moderation is all you need. Although the concept is simple, implementation is not. Actually controlling your eating to an extent that you lose weight is very difficult, because in some cases, the control must be very great. Some people can lose weight easier than others, so it really depends on your own personal body type, as to how much you will need to cut down on your eating.
