What is the Treatment for Cystic Acne?

Acne has many forms, types and degrees of severity. Cystic acne is just one of many different types of acne. It is one of the worst and most painful forms of acne. It is not only one of the most painful form of acne but it is also a form with a long healing process. The surface of cysts is red, spherical and smooth. Cysts are filled with pus and are very striking. Luckily there is good treatment for cystic acne.

How are cysts developed?

The development phases and the causes of cystic acne can vary between patients. Causes are usually a sudden change in hormone levels whereby more tallow is produced, stress and a less properly functioning immune system. Scientists also claim a long time that cystic acne is hereditary. Acne can occur in anyone: men, women, teenagers and babies by themselves. An outbreak of acne can occur at any age, but cystic acne is most often found in people over thirty.

Women can get cystic acne after giving childbirth. In the days after childbirth there are many changes in the body of the woman and the hormone levels fluctuate violently.

An outbreak of acne is often temporary and there is not always reason to worry. Many people often make the mistake they want to get rid of the cystic acne as soon as possible and they want to squeeze them out. This has an adverse effect, by squeezing the bacteria deeper into the skin.

The squeezing of pimples is not recommended anyway because it can leave ugly scars that never disappear. The scar removal products you can buy at the drugstore are not particularly effective. You may face the pits and stains caused by the squeezing of acne for the rest of your life. Also, the frequent puncture of pimples can cause bleeding.

All you can do against these unsightly stains is undergoing cosmetic surgery. The effects of plastic surgery should not be underestimated. It is great psychological and social effects and of course it costs a lot of money. What began as a fairly innocent outbreak of acne is a major problem.

Treatment for cystic acne

You can get rid of acne by cleaning the skin two times a day with lukewarm water and mild soap or cleanser to remove grease, dirt and bacteria removal. If the cysts do not automatically leave, treatment for cystic acne is necessary. Do not trust ordinary remedies from the drugstore, but go to a dermatologist. He or she can determine which medication fits best for your condition. Usually he will prescribe topical antibiotics or gels.

Prevention is better than cure. So if you have a sensitive skin, get yourself informed about acne and what you can do to prevent an outbreak of acne. Collect as much information as possible before you choose treating acne.
