For many college students, binge drinking may seem like the norm. In fact, two out of three US college students admit to having engaged in binge drinking within the last month!
Of course, college is not just about studying – it’s about meeting people, socializing, finding out who you are, engaging in team sports, getting fit, having fun, and other activities. But if one of those “fun activities” is binge drinking, it may be to the detriment of all those other important things.
One in four students admits that binge drinking negatively impacts their academics. One in five students qualify for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD.) There are many health conditions that come along with binge drinking, from liver issues to brain shrinkage.
