When Is It Proper to Have Arm Liposuction?

Having slim, firm and toned arms are sexy and it is frustrating especially for women who religiously does exercises and faithfully keeps their diet and yet, those flabby arms won’t still go away.

From the term itself, an arm liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits in the underarms.  But this procedure is not advisable to everyone having fat upper arms. Women are the most common victim of abnormal fat accumulation in the underarms. This can happen at any stage in their lives as they grow old. Even women who have fairly normal weights and physical condition can still develop flabby arms. This is where arm liposuction becomes applicable.

Surgeons usually do not perform liposuction in the arms on those individuals who are above 15 pounds overweight. The procedure is done only on those people who are simply prone to develop excess fat deposits under their arms. Individuals who have obvious disproportionate arms and those who are embarrassed by having big arms are also the likely candidates for arm liposculpture. Men and women ages 18 and above can have the arm liposuction procedure as long as they are physically fit. This is a surgical procedure so they must be healthy and fit enough to undergo it in order for them to be able to cope with the possible complications that may occur after the operation.

Also, one thing to consider about the operation is the individual’s skin elasticity. After the surgery, only the fats will be removed. The skin will remain looking sagged and depending on the patient’s skin elasticity, firming the arms would be another issue. Older patients may not achieve the same results as the younger patients who have more resilient skin. If this is the case, an arm lift would be necessary which means another surgery and an additional cost.

Although you may be a likely candidate for arm liposuction, it is still important to consult a reputable surgeon first before deciding to go with the procedure. There are other health issues to be considered also and you do not want to put your whole life at risk just for the sake of achieving sexy arms.
