We’ve all heard or been told that we need to drink several glasses of water every day. Consuming it helps reduce bloating, water retention, cleans and purifies your body and skin, and keeps your kidneys in a healthy condition. Cold water is also said to help with weight loss, especially when consumed on an empty stomach. (Add some lemon and limes juice for a potent weight-loss cocktail)
You can, of course, replenish your bodies fluids with tea, coffee, soda or alcoholic drinks like beer, but these all come with their downsides. Most of them contain caffeine that interferes with your sleep and can cause spikes in your blood pressure. Diet soda comes with detrimental artificial sweeteners that have been linked to cancer, and drinking alcohol is not something you can probably do at work.
Water has none of these side effects. However, tap water comes heavily chlorinated and sometimes fluorinated as well. These chemicals can have a cumulative effect on your body and upset its acid-alkaline homeostasis that will slowly deteriorate your immune system. Not to mention, it tastes terrible.
But if you can’t drink tea, coffee, alcohol, etc. as your primary source of hydration, and now you can’t even drink tap water, how are you to cleanse your body, rehydrate and get on with enjoying your healthy body?
The answer is a water filter bottle that will remove the bad-tasting chemicals leaving you with clean, refreshing water to enjoy whenever and wherever life may take you. I recently purchased a Brita Everyday Water Filter Pitcher,
and I rate it second only to my unabashed love for the best audiobooks ever. I filled my bottle with tap water, and was delighted when I tasted… water! Not a chlorine fluoride solution, but cool, refreshing, clean water.
Happy Drinking!
